Punta Prima, your ideal seaside resort
Punta Prima is characterised by its rocky coastline in combination with open plains, which are wonderful for walks. Part of the city of Torrevieja and located just 30 minutes away from the airport of Alicante and San Javier, it is the ideal holiday destination!
The resort
Punta Prima got its name because the buildings and the sandy beach are situated on a thin land point. This means that the shape resembles that of an awl. The first activities took place in 1969 and the resort has grown into a popular holiday destination.
The lively Punta Prima is divided into 2 by the N332 (connecting road). On one side lies a coastal strip with beach, buildings and bustling commercial strip.
On the other side are a busy commercial centre, numerous shops, businesses and different residential zones.
Vamos a la playa
The sandy beach of Punta Prima is bordered to the north by the southernmost beach of the city of Torrevieja, Playa de los Náufragos. In the south, it borders the beach of Playa Flamenca.
The white sandy beach, awarded with a blue flag, has a length of 170 meters and a width of 14 meters. The beach is accessible via slopes and stairs, but since July 2010 it has been provided with a lift. That means that disabled people can also manage the 7-metre height difference.
Walkers can enjoy a beautiful hike along the coast in the direction of Campoamor.
What’s on
Punta Prima has many residential inhabitants, which means that it is a lively spot throughout the year. This is most noticeable in the commercial centre “Punta Marina” and from the commercial strip that runs parallel to the motorway.
As well as shopping and dining, you can of course also spend a wonderful time on the beautiful sandy beach. The other zones are residential. This has the advantage that it is a quiet place to stay in, but you still have everything within reach.
