Orihuela Costa, for lovers of sunny beaches, golf and exquisite real estate

Orihuela Costa is located in the far south of the Costa Blanca. The name is an umbrella of different districts and urbanisations. In fact, this coastal strip is part of the city of Orihuela, which lies about 20 km inland. Sun, sea, beach and so much more … Discover it here!

The sunny side of life

Just like the other resorts on the Costa Blanca, Orihuela Costa enjoys a Mediterranean climate. This contrasts with the general climate throughout Spain. Rainfall occurs only occasionally throughout the year and the sun is to be seen and felt noticeably during all months.

In the area of temperatures, there are also few extremes to mention. Frost hardly ever occurs and extreme heat with temperatures of 40 degrees or higher is also very rare.

The mild dry winters and pleasant summers are caused by a southern climate in which the Mediterranean Sea has a warming effect on the region during the winter. This effect is protected by the presence of mountains and hills that retain the heat of the sea and stop the cold air from the inland.

Thanks to the many hours of sunshine and mild temperatures it is an ideal destination to stay. Whether you want to spend the winter or live here all year round, it is a decision that you won’t regret!

Easily accessible

Orihuela Costa is easy to get to via the airport of Alicante and San Javier. The latter airport has a more limited range of flights but is ideally located in this region.

In addition, the A7 motorway has an excellent infrastructure and connects the most important coastal cities all the way from the French border to Malaga in the South of Spain. There are several access roads, but the exit “La Zenia” brings you immediately to the heart of Orihuela Costa.

Pleasure craft can also moor in the marinas of Cabo Roig or Campoamor.

Vitamin sea

The coastline of Orihuela Costa is 16 km long and features 11 bays, various beautiful sandy beaches and 2 marinas. Several of these beaches are accessible for people with limited mobility and have been awarded a blue flag.

Every resort along Orihuela Costa has its own charms, but they all offer a wide selection of restaurants and bars with views over the golden sandy beaches and the blue sea.

Mecca for golfers

Golf enthusiasts can enjoy their hobby in Orihuela Costa to their heart’s content. The region has no less than four 18-hole golf courses, all different and charming for both the novice and the experienced golfer.

Next to Villamartin Golf, Las Ramblas Golf, Campoamor Golf and Las Colinas Golf, you can discover about 10 other golf courses within a radius of 30 minutes. Undoubtedly it will take you many hours before you have mastered all these terrains.

Real estate

Unlike many seaside resorts on the Costa Blanca North, the Orihuela Costa region is relatively flat. As a result, there is a wider range of properties and building plots. Every seaside resort has a vibrant centre with dense development. Many popular urbanisations also enjoy a lot of activity and have their own commercial centres. Urbanisations in the vicinity of golf courses have a lower density and often offer beautiful views.

Since 2013, there has been a strong increase in the development of new construction projects in this region. This means you will also be able to discover a wide range of modern dwellings.

Due to the larger supply of land, there is a larger supply of houses with a lower price level when compared to the north.

Keep in mind that despite the lower average sales price, there will still be differences between the various locations.
