Stunning Beaches
La Zenia has two beaches. On one hand, there is “Cala Cerrada“, a beautiful bay with lovely sands. The bay is also easily accessible.
The beach is protected by big cliffs, from where you can get a marvelous panoramic view of the beach and the coastline.
On the other hand, there is “Cala Bosque”, a beautiful, gold-colored beach. Lifeguards ensure the beach is secure, but they also provide well-equipped infrastructure for visitors with limited mobility. There is a disability shower, a broad access plank, and an amphibious chair that makes access to the beach easier.
La Zenia | Shopping
La Zenia Boulevard is a recently built shopping center. The boulevard measures a whopping 161.000 m2. There are approximately 150 shops and restaurants, but also 5000 free parking spots. In short, this is heaven on earth for shoppers 😉
The shopping center is divided into three separate floors. The underground floor houses the covered parking spots. The ground floor contains most of the shops, while the first floor mainly contains restaurants and eateries.
The boulevard also has something unique to offer for every visitor. Even the youngest visitors can have fun in the playground or run through the fountains during hot summer days.
There is also continuous entertainment on the main square while you are shopping, where the youngest visitors can ride the train through the shopping center under the appropriate supervision. You can also hire some electrical cars for your precious little ones. You can control the cars yourself with remote control; this is of course safer.
Naturally, La Zenia Boulevard is also accessible to visitors with limited mobility. Amongst other adjustments, there are three elevators, access slopes, and disabled toilets.
La Zenia weather | Subtropically warm & equal
The climate of La Zenia | The climate of Costa Blanca is quite even, unlike other areas in Spain. The extreme heat that scorches the Spanish inland in the summer does not occur here.
Summer temperatures can reach 32° to 35°C in the hottest months, July and August, while the extreme south and inland regions can reach temperatures even above 40°C. La Zenia weather = 320 days a year good weather!
The best time to travel to the region of La Zenia in Spain is from the months of May up to and until October. In that period you can encounter pleasant warm temperatures, and hardly any precipitation. The highest average temperatures in the Costa Blanca is 28°C in July, with the lowest of 14°C in January. The temperature of the water lies between 15°C and 27°C.
Good infrastructure
Because of its central location in Orihuela Costa, you can easily access nearby destinations from La Zenia. Visitors can also use the N332 coastal road, which runs parallel with the coast.
The access and exit ramp for the AP-7 motorway is situated near La Zenia Boulevard shopping center. This motorway is a toll road, but for a couple of Euros, you have a quick connection to Alicante Airport and Costa Blanca North.
