Amazing life at Campoamor

Campoamor is the ideal base for millions of tourists each year, although it’s also well-loved by the Spaniards themselves. That makes sense, considering it has everything to offer that you could possibly wish. Beautiful golden sandy beaches, fruit trees as far as the eye can see, and gorgeous golf terrains. Life is a dream in Campoamor!

The best of two worlds

This region can be split into two zones. First of all, there’s “Dehesa de Campoamor”, the zone near the beach and the marina. The name loosely translates into ‘The Meadows of Campoamor”. Nowadays, this zone is of course no longer a meadow, but instead, you will find a gorgeous seaside town with a great infrastructure. The main assets are undoubtedly the beaches.

The second zone is located slightly more inland-bound, at approximately 4.5 kilometers. This is where you will find “Lomas de Campoamor”, otherwise known as “The hills of Campoamor”. Because this area features a number of golf terrains, the landscape truly stands out. It is stunning to behold these green hills, in perfect harmony with the landscape under the Spanish sun.

Vitamin sea

Dehesa de Campoamor features several blue-flag beaches. Take for example the “Cala Agua Marina”, a quiet bay located between the residential developments of Cabo Roig and Dehesa de Campoamor. This location also features a small-scale reserve of protected flora that gives out on a stone and fossil beach – some of these fossils are more than 125,000 (!) years old. You can use a walking path between the rocky part and the beach in order to get to the neighbouring beach of Playa La Glea.

“Playa La Glea” is undoubtedly the biggest beach Orihuela Coast has got to offer. This beach is located right next to the local marina and is accessible to the public. In addition, the infrastructure is excellent – there is plenty of parking, it is easily accessible, loungers and parasols can be rented, there are nice chiringuitos (beach bars), etc.

Because of the shape of this sandy beach, you will also be inclined to try out some water sports, and maybe even enjoy several diving activities they have to offer.

Dehesa de Campoamor has not just the biggest sandy beach around, it has also the longest one. That honour is entirely “Barranco Rubio”‘s, a beautiful golden sandy beach that forms a gorgeous contrast with the intensely blue sea. The one thing that comes close to the sea’s magnificence is the view of the cliffs. Their fire-red walls provide the beach goers with a pleasant, natural protection from the sun.

Club Náutico Dehesa de Campoamor

The “Club Náutico Dehesa de Campoamor” is the name of the local marina, also known as the Campoamor Marina.

This marina harbours 348 boats and all berths are provided with water and electricity.

It is also decked out with a crane (ten tonnes), a ramp and offers services for weather forecast and radio communication.

After a boat trip, you can relax in the clubhouse that contains a restaurant, a bar and a shower room.

The Campoamor marina was built in the seventies. The main goal was to create a meeting point for sea lovers and sailing fans.

Because of its privileged location and the elaborate services on offer, this marina has developed into a popular place to be.

Campoamor Golf: A wave of mecca

Golf lovers can go wild in this Costa Blanca region. There are three 18-hole golf terrains that turn out to be a great challenge for both novice and experienced golf players.
