Barcelona to Alicante
Since 2011, the AVE Barcelona to Murcia high speed rail line is being built and scheduled to open late 2016/early 2017. This is expected to cut travel speeds between Alicante and Barcelona to three hours with train speeds of up to 350 km/h.
